The Beginning

My decision to develope in XNA began with NiGHTS into Dreams. I wanted to make a NiGHTS clone and wanted it to be played on a console. When I heard about xna and the ability to deploy games on xbox 360 I knew it was the perfect choice for the project. There was only that one small problem than XNA is .NET managed code...I come from a C background and it was going to be a big change for me. But being open to new things I took the plunged into the world of managed programming.

After several weeks of hacking on a sega saturn emulator, I had extracted a large enough collection of NiGHTS graphic content to begin working on the XNA rendering engine.
